Discovery Channel is going to some of the most dangerous international locations for its newly picked-up series, “Underground Chrome,” TheWrap has learned.
Premiering Tuesday, Feb. 25, the Twofour America series features car hunters Yusuf and Antonio. With the assistance of Andrew, a former elite anti-terrorism Marine, the men go places others in their line of work avoid in their search for rare and vintage automobiles. Andrew’s background helps the team both find and transport their vehicular treasures back to the U.S. without falling prey to criminals or gangs.

The $8 billion a year car hunting industry is competitive, but the men’s ability to go into countries where the going isn’t easy for a potential payoff in the five or six figures gives them a leg up.
During the first season of “Chrome Underground,” the guys will try to hunt down a 1937 Type 57 Bugatti worth millions in Mexico City and avoid Argentina’s cartels and Brazil’s favela gangs.
