Former WB Exec Jordan Levin Named EVP of Xbox Entertainment Studios

Microsoft has appointed former WB Network CEO Jordan Levin as executive vice president of Xbox Entertainment Studios.

Levin will report to Xbox Entertainment Studios president Nancy Tellem, working in tandem with Tellem on all of her initiatives, and leading the creative team responsible for developing and producing scripted and unscripted content for Xbox and other Microsoft devices.

Levin has also served as CEO of the multi-platform studio/talent management company Generate, and previously the president of Generate-parent Alloy Digital, as well as the chairman of NATPE.

The appointment reunites Levin with Tellem, whom Levin met in 1994 when both were at Warner Bros. The pair “established a long and lasting friendship working together on the launch of The WB Network,” according to an announcement from Microsoft.

Levin said that he is “energized by the potential of this new position,” which he said “affords me the opportunity to continue exploring the intersection of content and technology within a world-class organization like Microsoft and alongside a proven, innovative leader like Nancy and the talented, enthusiastic team she has assembled.”

Tellem added that Levin “offers a unique blend of traditional media experience, technical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit that sets him apart from others in the industry. I am thrilled to welcome him to the Xbox Entertainment Studios team as we continue to build our portfolio of premium TV experiences.”
