After telling Mayra Rosales’s story in its previous special, TLC’s cameras are following the heaviest woman alive after she was acquitted of murder.
On “Half-Ton Killer: Transformed,” Rosales begins the path to getting her life back on track, which includes adopting her nieces and nephew. But, that will include a series of weight-loss surgeries and much rehabilitation.

Things most of us take for granted have become alien to Rosales and she’ll have to reacquaint herself with those simple everyday things.
In TheWrap’s exclusive preview, for instance, Rosales has lost weight and prepares to take a shower — her first in six years.
