MTV is staying ahead of the big summer movie season by scheduling its big award show in the middle of April once again.
The MTV Movie Awards will broadcast live at 9 p.m. ET on April 13, the network announced on Tuesday, with the show taking place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Nominations will be announced on March 6, with an array of categories for fans to vote on.
According to the network, some of those will include the legendary “Best Kiss” award, the vaunted “Best Scared-As-S**t Moment,” the very relevant trophy for “#WTF Moment” (a change from the classic “WTF Award”) and “Best Shirtless Performance,” which is second only to Oscar in terms of prestige.

This is the second year in a row that the show will take place in April, after years of broadcasting on Memorial Day — the original kickoff to the blockbuster season. This way, the network can deliver on its promise of many exclusive looks at some of the summer’s big movies.
Last year, 3.8 million total viewers tuned in for the spectacle.
