Steve Rogers can't rely on his trusty shield in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
A new clip (above) from the upcoming Marvel release gives audiences a preview of what happens when Cap (Chris Evans) whips it at the titular villain: The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) whips it back. Twice as hard.

The sequel, which supposedly sets events taking place in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in motion, follows Marvel's most patriotic hero trying to adjust to his new role in modern society, while teaming up with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and newcomer Falcon (Anthony Mackie) to expose an ever-widening conspiracy that threatens S.H.I.E.L.D. head Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
“Captain America” hits theaters on April 4.
