CBS topped Thursday in both ratings and viewers, while Fox's season premiere of “Hell's Kitchen” dipped slightly from last year's debut to a new low.
For ABC, “Grey's Anatomy” and “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” ticked down to tie series lows.
CBS was first in ratings with a 2.5 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 10.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 was the highest-rated and most-watched show of the night, with a 4.9/17 and 17.3 million viewers. “The Millers” at 8:30 earned a 2.6/8 and 11.1 million viewers. “Two and a Half Men” at 9 received a 2.6/8 and 10 million viewers. “The Crazy Ones” at 9:30 got a 1.8/5 and 7 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 had a 1.7/5 and 9 million viewers.

Fox was second in ratings with a 2.1/6 and in viewers with 7 million. The “Hell's Kitchen” season premiere at 8 earned a 1.9/7 — a debut low, though down just five percent from last year — and 5.3 million viewers. “American Idol” made its new time period premiere at 9, when it received a 2.2/6 — tying last week's series low — and 8.8 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 1.9/6 and in viewers with 6.1 million. “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” tied a series low with a 0.8/3 and had 3.1 million viewers. “Grey's Anatomy” at 9 also tied a low with a 2.3/7 and had 7.1 million viewers. “Scandal” at 10 earned a 2.7/8 and 8.1 million viewers.
NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.1/3 and in viewers with 3.2 million. “Community” at 8 stayed flat with a 1.0/4 — a series low — and 2.9 million viewers. “Parks and Recreation” at 8:30 got a 1.1/4 and 2.7 million viewers. “Hollywood Game Night” had a 1.0/3 and 3 million viewers. “Parenthood” at 10 received a 1.2/4 and 3.9 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in total viewers with 2.6 million.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/1 and sixth in viewers with 1.2 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.4 million. Following a rerun, “Reign” at 9 got a 0.6/2 and 1.7 million viewers.
