Russell Crowe Doesn't Think He'll Be Back For ‘Batman vs. Superman’ (Video)

Russell Crowe has bad news for anybody who loved his role as Superman's biological dad, Jor-El, in “Man of Steel.”

The actor told Yahoo! Movies while promoting “Noah” overseas that he doesn't think he'll be in director Zack Snyder's “Batman vs. Superman” movie.

“I don't think they're going to use me again,” Crowe told the news outlet during a press junket (above) in the United Kingdom. ”I think they're jumping onto a different stream. You know, they're going with the different superhero worlds colliding.”

Crowe played a major part in Warner Bros.’ 2013 Superman reboot. He carried the origin story's action-packed opening sequence on Krypton, and appeared as a hologram later on to help Lois Lane (Amy Adams) escape from the clutches of General Zod (Michael Shannon).

Now that Warner Bros. biggest blockbuster hero, Batman (Ben Affleck), is on board to battle the son of Krypton (Henry Cavill), it makes sense that there won't be much room for Jor-El in what must already be a jam-packed plot.

“Batman vs. Superman,” which is only a working title for the “Man of Steel” sequel,” hits theaters on May 6 in 2015.
