Smaug isn’t just terrorizing the skies of Middle Earth this holiday season — he’ll be swooping over the real earth, too.
Air New Zealand revealed its latest addition to its “Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”-themed planes on Sunday, and this one’s a real airborne menace. The scaly wyrm that torches innocents to protect his mountain full of treasure is practically actual-size on what appears to be one of the airline’s Boeing 777s.

Just don’t touch his pile of gold, wary travler, and everything should turn out fine.
The self-styled “airline of Middle-Earth” posted more photos and video of the Smaug plane on its website. The MGM/New Line and Warner Bros. “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” comes out in the U.S. on Dec. 13.
