A24 is nearing a deal for North American rights to Lynn Shelton’s “Laggies,” an individual familiar with the deal has told TheWrap.
Keira Knightley, Chloe Moretz and Sam Rockwell star in the film, which will receive a theatrical release from A24.
Anonymous Content’s Alix Madigan-Yorkin, Rosalie Swedlin and Steve Golin produced the movie with Myles Nestel, while executive producers include Paul Green, Lisa Wilson, Craig Chapman, Jennifer Roth, Shawn Simpson and Gordon Bijelonic.
The Andrea Seigel-scripted film premiered Friday night at the Eccles to warm response, including strong reviews for Knightley’s performance as a woman who starts hanging out with high school students in an effort to avoid adult responsibilities.
UTA and CAA negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.
