The Flaming Lips have injected new life into a timeless classic.
Back in 2009, the psychedelic rock band from Oklahoma collaborated with the group Stardeath and the White Dwarfs (as well as Henry Rollins and Peaches) on a full-length cover of Pink Floyd's 1973 ground-breaker, “The Dark Side of the Moon.” Now, five years later, they've gone back to that everlasting well of cosmic inspiration to create a new piece of original music, aptly titled “The Flaming Side of the Moon.”

The new album works as a companion piece to the original, and is supposed to be played at the same time as the Roger Waters-conceived, Alan Parsons-engineered album. It can also be played in time with “The Wizard of Oz,” if you want your mind blown.
